Pengertian Narrative Teks
Narrative Text ialah bentuk teks cerita, dan dongeng yang ditulis ini biasanya tidak dialami oleh penulis sendiri melainkan berupa imaginasi atau legenda. Makara walaupun sama sama dongeng Narrative Text memiliki perbedaan yang sangat terperinci dengan Recount. The Social Functions of Narrative Text atau fungsi teks Narrative ialah untuk Menghibur atau Amused someone. Pasti bagi diantara kalian yang sering mendengarkan dongeng yang didongengkan oleh bapak niscaya tahu dong fungsi dari Narrative Text tersebut.
Generic structure of Narrative Text / susunan dari Narrative Text
1. Orientation
Indroducing the participants and informing the time and the place. Pada bab ini kalian akan disuguhkan siapa yang memerankan dongeng tersebut atau dalam bahasa lain ialah Character dari dongeng dan akan juga disuguhkan wacana latar ( dimana, kapan, dan bagaimana dongeng tersebut berlangsung)
2. Complication
Describing the rising crises which the participants have to do with Pada bab ini konflik antar aksara mulai terjadi
3. Resolution
Showing the way of participant to solve the crises, it can be better of worse. Pada bab ini para tokoh atau aksara dalam dongeng Narrative akan berupaya menuntaskan persoalan yang mereka hadapi, kadang dalam menghadapi persoalan tersebut para aksara itu menyelesaikannya menjadi lebih baik atau lebih buruk.
Language Features of Narrative
Language Features ialah tata bahasa yang dipakai dalam Narrative Teks, alasannya Narrative Teks ialah menceritakan sesuatu maka secara otomatis teks ini memakai Tenses past tense, atau masih keluarga dengan past tense atau tenses yang menceritakan wacana masa kemudian menyerupai Past Perfect atau Past Continous.

Snow White
Once upon a time there lived a little girl named Snow White. She lived with her Aunt and Uncle because her parents were dead.
One day she heard her Uncle and Aunt talking about leaving Snow White in the castle because they both wanted to go to America and they didn’t have enough money to take Snow White. Snow White did not want her Uncle and Aunt to do this so she decided it would be best if she ran away. The next morning she ran away from home when her Aunt and Uncle were having breakfast. She ran away into the woods. Then she saw this little cottage. She knocked but no one answered so she went inside and fell asleep.
Meanwhile, the seven dwarfs were coming home from work. They went inside. There they found Snow White sleeping. Then Snow White woke up. She saw the dwarfs. The dwarfs said, “what is your name?” Snow White said, “My name is Snow White.” Doc, one of the dwarfs, said, “If you wish, you may live here with us.” Snow White said, “Oh could I? Thank you.” Then Snow White told the dwarfs the whole story and Snow White and the 7 dwarfs lived happily ever after.

Paragraph 1

Dan juga Her Aunt and uncle. Arti dari paragraph pertama “ pada suatu masa hiduplah seorang gadis kecil yang berjulukan Putri Salju. Dia tinggal bersama paman dan bibinya alasannya orang tuanya sudah meninggal.
Paragraph 2 ( Complications 1)

Pada paragraph ini terjadi konflik yang pertama yaitu dimana Paman dan Bibi ingin meninggalkan Snow White Arti dari paragraph ke dua “ suatu hari Snow White mendengar kalau paman dan bibinya akan meninggalkan Snow White di kastil alasannya mereka berdua ingin pergi ke AMeriak dan mereka berdua tidak memiliki cukup uang untuk membawa Snow White.

Arti dari paragraph ini ialah “ Snow White tidak menginginkan paman dan bibinya melaksanakan ini sehingga ia memutuskan kalau langkah terbaiknya ialah melarikan diri. Pagi diberikutnya ia melarikan diri dari rumah saat paman dan bibinya sedang sarapan. Dia melarikan diri ke dalam hutan.
Paragraph 4 ( Complications 2 )

pada paragraph ke empat ini, si Snow White terjadi permasalahan yang ke 2 yaitu, arti dari paragraph ini ialah “ kemudian ia melihat rumah kecil. Dia mengetuk pintu akan tetapi tidak ada yang menjawabannya sehingga ia masuk ke dalam dan terpulas”
Paragraph 5 ( resolutions 2 )
Meanwhile, the seven dwarfs were coming home from work. They went inside. There they found Snow White sleeping. Then Snow White woke up. She saw the dwarfs. The dwarfs said, “what is your name?” Snow White said, “My name is Snow White.”
Arti dari paragraph diatas ialah “ sementara itu, tujuh kurcaci sedang menuju ke rumah dari bekerja. Mereka masuk dan mereka menemukan si Snow White sedang terpulas. Kemudian Snow White bangun. Dia melihat para kurcaci. Kurcaci tersebut berkata “ siapa nama engkau?” , Snow White menjawaban “ Nama saya ialah Snow White”.
Paragraph 6
Doc, one of the dwarfs, said, “If you wish, you may live here with us.” Snow White said, “Oh could I? Thank you.” Then Snow White told the dwarfs the whole story and Snow White and the 7 dwarfs lived happily ever after.
Arti dari Paragraph ke enam ialah “ Doc, salah satu dari kurcaci berkata, “ kalau engkau mau engkau boleh tinggal disini dengan kami.” Snow White menyampaikan “ oh dapatkah aku? Terima kasih.” Kemudian si Snow White menceritakan kepada para kurcaci segala ceritahnya dan Snow White bersama kurcaci tersebut hidup senang selamanya”

The North Wind’s Gift
Once upon a time , there was a lad living with his mother. The family was so poor that they hardly ever had meals three times a day.
One day, the young lad went to the storehouse to get some meals for his mother. Just as he stepped outside the door, The north wind blew the meals away. Oooooo oooooo whizzed the wind. The young lad went back to the store and got another meal. Just as he stepped out of the building, again did the north wind blow away his meals. Ooooo!! The wind hurled.
This happened repeatedly that he finally went to the wind’s house and asked for the meals the wind had blow away. “ I ‘m here to ask for may meals you have blow away. Please give them back to me , I ‘m indeed poor.” The young lad begged. “ Sorry my dear friend .I have no meals but I will give you a very special gift,” the wind replied. Take this cloth with you every time you need meals just say‘ cloth, serve me good meals ! then meals will soon be ready for you ,the wind explained.
It was dark when the lad arrived on an inn. He had no money to spend. He remembered the cloth given by the north wind directly he said “ O cloth , serve me dinner !” Soon the dinner was provided. The innkeeper who saw it bay chance was very astounded and envious as well. “ I must have that fine cloth,” he whispered . So when it was very quiet at night and everyone was asleep, he tiptoed to the lad’s room , took the cloth , and replaced it with piece of ordinary cloth.
In the morning young lad was shocked to find the cloth powerless not as it was. He complained to the north wind about the matter and asked for his meals back. “I have no meals , but I will give you another gift.” The wind uttered. Mr. North Wind then gave him a goat “This goat can give you some money,” said the Wind.
The lad was very happy. He went back to the inn where he stayed overnight in. he was very hungry but had no money. Suddenly he remembered the goat.”Goat , please give me some money!” So did the lad murmur. What a magic! Only in a few seconds, he could find some money in his pocket.
The next morning when the lad woke up, he was surprised to find the goat having no magic at all. Again did he go to the North Wind to have some complaints. “ Good morning, Mr. Wind.” Greeted the lad. “ good morning, my friend. What can I do for you?” The north Wind responded. “just return the meals you blew away. This goat has lost its magic.” The lad spoke in despair. “ I am sorry, I have no meals. However, I can give you another special gift. Here is a magic stick.” The Wind paused for a moment and then continued speaking. “from now on, if you meet someone who is untrue, just say, “ stick, o, stick, Lay on!” then the stick will lay on till you say, “ stick, stick , stop!”
Of the lad went to the inn once stayed in with his magic stick. He thought he would rest there for the night. As he had no money to pay for meal. He went to sleep. He began to think about misfortune during his stay in the inn. Every time he stayed overnight there, then he would always lose his goat. He thought of playing a trick this time. He put his magic stick at the corner of the room, lay down in bed and pretended to be sleeping.
At midnight he heard footsteps coming to where he put the stick. The lad then cried out,” stick , stick, lay on!” Up hopped the stick from the corner and started beating the innkeeper. The innkeeper was very that he shouted, “stop. Pleas just stop! I will give you the goat and the cloth!”. The lad thought the innkeeper had been punished enough. He said , “ stick, stick, stop!” so did the stick hop back to the corner. The innkeeper hurried away. Soon he returned with the cloth and the goat. The young lad reached home safely. It is said that he was rich and happy all the day of his life along with his beloved mother.

Pada paragraph diatas dadalah orientation, alasannya ialah diceritakan pertama mula setting dan mengenalkan tokoh utama yaitu “ Jgua”. Jgua sendiri ialah “ Specific Participant”
One day, the little girl’s father did not come home from the forest and Jgua became more and more frightened that he had had an accident. She did not know what to do because she was very afraid of the dark.
Pada paragraph ke dua diatas ialah Complication, dimana sebuah permasalahan pada Karakter ( Jgua)mulai muncul dan kalimat diatas memakai kalimat past tense
Finally she plucked up all her courage and headed out to the clearing where she thought her father had been that day. After two long hours searching, she finally found him. His foot had been trapped under a log and he could not lift it himself. Jgua helped her father to free himself and they went home happily. Jgua was very glad she had not been too frightened to go in search of her father.
